Kathrine and Andy

I enjoyed being the Celebrant for the loving, intimate wedding of Katherine and Andrew at Gunners Barracks in Mosman. A true love story from meeting online. Katherine’s children, Luke and Sophie were their witnesses for the signing of the marriage certificate.

The Celebration following the ceremony with exquisite flowers, an abundance of food and wine and cracker speeches, was a testament to their commitment, love and true devotion. I really enjoy intimate weddings where the commitment ceremony and celebration become one.

Robbie and Byron's White Wedding

One of my greatest joys was celebrating this marriage between Robbie and Byron.  They’d been close neighbours, dearest friends for 5 years and I was with them on the journey of their surrogate giving them the child they prayed for.  4 years later their ultimate surprise was twins – 2 bundles of joy – Jet and Blake  - their excited ring bearers ! Godfather Martin proudly said the ceremony was drawn to the light of Robbie and Byron’s commitment to each other and to their shared love of their lives, Blake and Jet.

Ceremony was held at Rose Bay Marina  followed by dinner and dancing upstairs at the Regatta Restaurant and Robbie and Byron singing a loving duet.  Perfection afternoon – full circle for my dearest friends.

Grant and Matthew's Balmoral Wedding

This planned wedding of Matthew and Grant  was to be held on Rocky Point Island, Mosman  however due to unpredictable weather the location had to be changed to the Rotunda on Balmoral Beach.

Nothing dampened the spirit of our bridegrooms nor the guests joy in celebrating Matthew and Grant formally coming together as a loving couple.  The special details to parasols for the guests was a clever, caring addition to the ceremony .  Their band, The Baker Boys played exquisite music between personal readings from loved friends and it culminated with the group photographs in Balmoral Park.  The weather was also respectful of this loving union and their commitment for  life.

Katie and Dan

Katie and Dan wanted their ceremony to be personal and in the garden of their home on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour?  The wedding was live streamed to friends in Australia and overseas and one couple in London sent them a cardboard cut out of themselves so they could attend the wedding!!  I loved this novel idea!

After my first meeting with Katie and Dan I left them thinking that these two adventurous spirits were meant to meet (on the Sydney ferry) and fall in love, with their love of skiing, exploring new countries together and they had just spent the last 2 years sailing up to the Pacific Islands for winter.

I also became caught up in their excitement for this loving intimate ceremony as they were about to welcome twin baby girls to their extended family – Dan has 3 lovely daughters who all played a part in the ceremony and shared in the joy for what is about to come.  Oh yes, I love being a celebrant !

A note from the happy couple:

We organised our wedding on very short notice. We wanted it to be casual and relaxed. Glen-Marie was fantastic and ensured we had thought of everything. Glen-Marie also coordinated the event on the day, so we didn’t have to worry about anything except getting married and enjoying the day with our friends! It was an absolute pleasure working with Glen-Marie, and we thoroughly recommend her.

Josephine and Michael Wedding

Josephine and Mikey celebrated their love and marriage in the magnificent Rockpool building, where they met and have shared so many happy times and memories.  It also meant so much to Josephine because as she said :  “It’s my father’s restaurant and it holds a special place in all of our hearts”.

Josephine entered on the arms of her parents,  Adele and Neil Perry looking resplendent in elegant white taffeta to the applause and cheering of their wedding guests.

Josephine and Mikey met at Rockpool 8 years ago when Josephine had her first crush on Mikey when he was working in the kitchen at Rockpool.

Their love of food and wine and eating in restaurants here and abroad and the joy they just have spending time together brought them to celebrate their union forever with Mikey’s family travelling from overseas.

Rockpool looked breathtakingly beautiful  with an abundance of gorgeous flowers, music, and as one can imagine divine food and wine with laughter and loving speeches flowing throughout the evening .

Love being a Celebrant !

Bianca and Brendan's Wedding and Surprise

Bianca and Brendan’s intimate family wedding was held at the brides’ parents,  Karen and Wolfie’s wonderful home in Vaucluse, Sydney. It was as though one had entered an enchanted garden with the mix of vibrant coloured blooms against the backdrop of the Australian bush. It was breathtakingly beautiful!

The ceremony was held under the Chuppah in a pretty courtyard garden before guests ventured upstairs to a magnificent dining table adorned with rich colourful flowers with a silver gum tree in the bush garden completing the set.

Delicious wine and food (catered by Totti’s Restaurant);  warm humorous speeches and the love of both families made it even more memorable.   The ‘surprise’ of the day was when the couple cut their wedding cake to discover the gender of their expectant baby. If it was blue sponge it was a boy and pink if it was a girl. The obstetrician and cake designer had collaborated to ensure it was kept a surprise for the loving couple.  It brought much gaiety and laughter from all the guests.

Dad Wolfie was the hero of the day predicting it was a boy!

Friends of the loving couple arrived at the home following the luncheon and there was much fun and laughter into the night.

Darren and Matthew's Wedding: Love Floating in the Air

Masses of pink and white balloons streaming from the ceiling welcomed guests from Perth, Melbourne, Queensland, and Tasmania for the delightful wedding ceremony of Darren and Matthew in their delightful Surry Hills apartment.

Following the ceremony, guests walked around the corner (each carrying a balloon) to Zahli Restaurant for an all-day wedding feast. It was a fun filled afternoon of wining and dining, singing, dancing and more celebrating. The exotic belly dancer was a great hit as was Matt’s sister, Dell, who composed and sang her song for our happy bridegrooms.

Friends and family expressed so much love and happiness. I love being a Celebrant !
