Naming Ceremonies

Naming ceremonies are a wonderful celebration to express joy, hope and acceptance and it is a joyous opportunity to officially welcome your child into a loving circle of family and friends.

It is a perfect way to acknowledge the important roles that parents, Godparents, grandparents, family and friends play in the child’s development.

This ceremony is similar to a traditional Christening or Baptism, however not generally conducted in a church.

What is involved?

  • Gather you family and friends for a large or smaller celebration
  • The ceremony can be short and sweet or include participation from your guests
  • Add readings, blessings, rituals or anything else to mark this special occasion

Where are we celebrating?

Hold your naming ceremony at your house, at the beach, in the park, at a venue - it's up to you!

Make it formal or informal, make it fun for the kids AND the adults.
